Choose Grant Calls That Fit Your Academy. That's How You Boost Your Chances of Success!

More applications don't mean more funding. Mateusz Boczyło explains why you should only go for grant calls that genuinely fit your academy, and how to check that before you start writing.

Mateusz Boczyło ·

Why does it matter?

The point isn't to apply to every available grant call, but to choose the ones that truly match your academy's needs, capacity and direction of development. A well-chosen call lets you showcase your organisation's strengths, plan realistic activities and increase your chances of securing funding.

How to check whether a grant call fits your academy

Before you start writing your application, check whether the goal of the programme matches what you want to develop at your academy, for example:

  • coach education,

  • work with children and young people,

  • community activities,

  • infrastructure development,

  • volunteering,

  • cooperation with the local community.

The better your idea fits the programme's objectives, the easier it will be to describe it well and convince the assessors that it deserves funding. That's why grant funding for sports clubs is worth pursuing selectively.

The golden rule

Don't force a fit. Look for a programme where your project naturally matches its goals, activities and expected results.
